Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician from England. He was a member of One Direction. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive, along with three of his classmates, formed a musical group called White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they were winners. He always had an interest in the arts, however he also wished to become the profession of a lawyer, physiotherapist, or even a scout. As a worker at the city's baker Harry Styles managed to feed his family. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. This meant that the group he was in had to be disbanded. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd be forming the group One Direction after the X Test audition. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to form the band in 2010. They sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky Without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which helped them become one of the frontrunners to win the competition. They were however 3rd place, in the third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. However, Harry Styles and his group were not crowned winners, Cowell paid a contract of 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with Syco. Syco record label.
