
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His most recognizable part was as Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988), for which he was awarded five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, winning in 1985. In the TV series Blue Bloods, Selleck has played Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. Since 2005, he's been playing Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief in a small-town New York City. Also, he's been featured in nine television films inspired by Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also been featured in films in the role of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady (90). In addition, he has appeared in more than 50 different films and TV roles from the time of Magnum, P.I., including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He was a frequent TV actor in the roles of Monica Geller's lover Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the charming and charming lover, on The Rockford Files; and A.J., casino owner.
