Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actress from Sweden. The actress was featured in a number of films, both European and American. Most famously, she is known for playing the role of "La Dolce Vita," a comedy-drama film. The film was both a critical and commercial hit, as well having won an Oscar during the Cannes Film Festival 1960. Before beginning her acting profession her Swedish birthplace, she was working as an international model. The model was the winner of the Miss Sweden competition. She moved to the US after which she started appearing in films playing small parts. In the film 'Abbott & Costello Go to Mars,' she was recognized for her initial character in the role of the role of a Venusian. She soon won the Golden Globe award in the "Most Promising Newcomer," category following her appearance in the film 'Blood Alley'. In the course of her career, she was a part of several other films like the war-themed American-Italian film "War and Peace," and the Western film 'Valerie' and the British adventure crime film 'The Man Within", as well as the French-Italian drama "The Dam in the Yellow River'. Her death occurred in the year 2015 aged 83.
