Alison Krauss, born in Decatur in Illinois on July 23, 1971 is a popular and well-off Country Singer. LeAnn Kymes, as well as Krauss, were among the earliest Grammy Award-winners. Alison Maria Krauss - born July 23rd 1971 - is an American country and bluegrass singer. Alison Maria Krauss began her music career at a young age and was a winner of local contests by the age of 10. The singer-songwriter recorded her first time at age fourteen. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and made her debut solo album in 1987. The year 1989 saw her invited to be a part of Alison Krauss & Union Station together with whom she performed.
